JF - Strategic Priorities JA - SPR VL - 38 IS - 1 SE - Policy DO - UR - https://niss-priority.com/index.php/journal/article/view/203 AB - The article is devoted to the complex analysis of the current informationpsychological confrontation. The article deals with the phenomenon of special propaganda method as the information constituent of the Russian hybrid war against Ukraine used to provide massive influence on key audience (state and military authorities, armed forces personnel, civilians, world community, allies of our country, neutral countries etc.). Historical premises of its application, main means, instruments, methods and ways of prosecution, current challenges and threats to Ukraine are also defined. The main goals of informationpsychological confrontation as the constituent of the Russian hybrid war against Ukraine are to weak domestic and international position of Ukraine – the object of aggression, to provide favorable conditions for conducting forcible military actions, create obstacles for a normal functioning of the decision taking and governing system of our state, manipulate the public opinion (on the global, local, national levels). It comes to the conclusion that nowadays Ukrainian information space is weakly protected, the information security system as the constituent of state security is in fact powerless. As a result it causes an ineffective fight against informational aggression, confrontation against antiUkrainian propaganda and disinformation. ER -
