Abstract

The writer looks at the problem of regaining control over television and radio broadcasts on the temporarily occupied and liberated territories in the Eastern Ukraine. He argues that this is the necessary condition of liberating and complete reintegration of these territories. He offers a comprehensive analysis of the features of broadcasting and state of public consciousness in the anti-terrorist operation zone and the work of the relevant government bodies and NGOs in Ukraine in 2014–2016. The writer suggests recommendations on aspects and methods of further work in this area.
