THE PROBLEM OF PATRIOTIC EDUCATION IN UKRAINE: THEORETICALMETHODOLOGICAL AND LEGAL ASPECTS

Abstract

The relevance of the article is due to the acute need to develop and implement more effective mechanisms to strengthen the National-Patriotic foundations of the Ukrainian statehood and spiritual sovereignty of the Ukrainian people in the face of an armed aggression on the part of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the publication is based on the theoretical-methodological and historical analysis of the features of military-patriotic education of young people in different countries to propose ways of improving the State policy of Ukraine on the national patriotic education. We consider scientific phenomenon and historical origins of the term «patriotism». We explore the features and components of patriotic education, as well as non-military training in the leading countries of the world. We analyze the effectiveness of the current legislation of Ukraine on organization and carrying out of the national-patriotic upbringing of youth. We give suggestions for improving public policy in this area.
