ASSESSMENT OF PROGRESS IN REFORMING THE TRANSPORT SECTOR AND СHALLENGES FOR FUTURE

Abstract

The reforming of the transport sector of Ukraine and the effectiveness of the state policy are studied in the article. They are considered as important factors in ensuring economic security and economic growth. The author identifies the first tangible results of the structural reforms in transport and the major challenges to their implementation. The purpose of this article is to identify priority areas and objectives of reforming the transport sector from the perspective of ensuring the economic security and economic recovery.

The suggested measures to further reform of the transport sector will be aimed at improving the efficiency of transport companies, attract investment for the modernization of transport infrastructure and rolling stock, to ensure quality and safety standards of transport services, strengthening the competitiveness of the national transport system, accelerating its integration into the European transport system and ensuring participation in servicing international traffic.
